I have lived in Josephine County, Oregon for over 9 years having come from Southern, California, specifically Westminster, California. I have been a widow for over 19 years, having married a wonderful Christian man, Norman Ahrens, an aerospace engineer at Boeing.
I attended Cerritos 2 year College and obtained a A.A. degree in business.
While my son, Mark, was in kindergarten at Eastwood Elementary School, I organized a Father - Son Banquet which was a huge success receiving numerous positive comments from many of the parents.
Was in charge of Children's Variety Show performances at Eastwood Elementary School for two consecutive years.
I was elected to serve on the Eastwood School Site Council.
For several years I served as secretary on the Government Accountability Organization. in Westminster, California.
Appointed to Redevelopment in the city of Westminster.
I was elected in 2002 to the Westminster School Board with my continued theme of "Back to Basics." While in office, I, with the help of two other board members, lead the controversial fight against the homo-sexual issue. WE WON !
Promoting traditional family values, helped to stop a certain controversial book (with heavy sexual content) form getting into Ocean View School District school libraries.
I was honored to be a guest speaker addressing "California's Challenging School Boards and Victory" and attend the three day Educational Policy Conference 16 . which was held January 20-22, 2005 in St. Louis, Missouri.
I have a 34-year old great son, who graduated with honors from USC film school who resides in Huntington Beach, California with wife, Maureen, and 2-year old son, Micah.
Involved in church Vacation Bible School in past years here in Grants Pass.
Coordinator for this years National Day-of-Prayer for Josephine County.
Have marched in most of "Right To Life " marches here in Grants Pass.
I volunteer when I can by playing the piano at assistant living facilities here in Grants Pass.
Attending Josephine County Commissioners' meetings.
Helped organize the First in Josephine County: Reading the Declaration of Independence on the steps of the Josephine County Courthouse this past 4th of July.

Currently I am on the board of Liberty Watch as hospitality hostess.
